Radiometric Cross-Calibration of GF-6/WFV Sensor Using MODIS Images With Different BRDF Models

چکیده

The wide field of view (WFV) imaging system the GaoFen-6 (GF-6) satellite processes four popular spectral bands [blue, green, red, and near-infrared (NIR)] new (costal, yellow, two red edges). However, corresponding reference for these eight from one sensor are insufficient in cross-calibration process WFV; therefore, current methods should be improved. To address this problem, Moderate-Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS), which has high radiometric performance with aid an onboard calibration system, is used as a sensor, using top atmosphere (TOA) bottom (BOA) bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF) models developed compared. results reveal that BOA BRDF model can obtain higher consistency official coefficients (OCCs) compared TOA model. In addition, after various influencing factors comprehensively analyzed, band adjustment factor (SBAF) correction shortwave infrared (SWIR) neglected; moreover, by five (blue, NIR, SWIR) MODIS cubic polynomial interpolation method provide optimal schemes WFV sensor. total uncertainties proposed less than 5.73% 6.32%, respectively.

Radiometric Cross-Calibration of GF-4 PMS Sensor Based on Assimilation of Landsat-8 OLI Images

Earth observation data obtained from remote sensors must undergo radiometric calibration before use in quantitative applications. However, the large view angles of the panchromatic multispectral sensor (PMS) aboard the GF-4 satellite pose challenges for cross-calibration due to the effects of atmospheric radiation transfer and the bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF). To addre...

Radiometric Cross-Calibration of GF-4 in Multispectral Bands

The GaoFen-4 (GF-4), launched at the end of December 2015, is China’s first high-resolution geostationary optical satellite. A panchromatic and multispectral sensor (PMS) is onboard the GF-4 satellite. Unfortunately, the GF-4 has no onboard calibration assembly, so on-orbit radiometric calibration is required. Like the charge-coupled device (CCD) onboard HuanJing-1 (HJ) or the wide field of vie...

Calibration of Brdf Effects in Paddy Field Reflectance from Temporal Modis Images

Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) has a potential for more detailed daily monitoring of land covers and their change than ever because two bands, red and near-infrared bands, have 250m spatial resolutions. On the other hand, the use of MODIS data requires attention to Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) effect, which is one of the most important factors to...

Radiometric inter-sensor cross-calibration uncertainty using a traceable high accuracy reference hyperspectral imager

Optical earth observation (EO) satellite sensors generally suffer from drifts and biases relative to their pre-launch calibration, caused by launch and/or time in the space environment. This places a severe limitation on the fundamental reliability and accuracy that can be assigned to satellite derived information, and is particularly critical for long time base studies for climate change and e...
